Can I just say how impressed I am with my team?
We are all women, all mothers (children ages ranging from 3 months to 13 years), and most of us work part time or full time outside of the home. This is all while also juggling school, heavy church responsibilities, moves and remodeling, husbands, and other various obligations and stresses.
Just to fit in a run takes work, and to fit in two and three a days and long runs in order train for the Ragnar can feel like an impossibility at times. 5 of them have never run a Ragnar before and have no idea what they are getting themselves into. But, they came to the race, and they were prepared.
Our team 10K took us on a route that led us up 350 feet in elevation gain in the first 2 miles. After that we were battling hurricane force winds (or something like that) for the last 4.2.
Every single girl that finished was able to complete the race faster than what they said they could run a 10K in!
How's that for impressive?
Only 10 days until the race, and team "Desperate For A Party" is ready for the party.
BRING IT ON RAGNAR!!!!!!!
