Winter? WTF?

Not that long ago I did a post about what to wear for winter running.  Apparently I can throw all of that out the window because yesterday when I went to the track for my workout, this is what I wore:

No, I'm not pointing out the fact that I have been running for nearly two years and don't have any calf muscles.

I'm pointing out that it was JANUARY 2ND and I ran outside in CAPRIS.

What is with this weird weather in Utah?  It was 43 degrees when I ran last night at 5:30PM.  And we still don't have any snow!  Last year it looked like this:

This was just for good measure.  I love this boy.  A lot.
I have a sneaky suspicion that the Ragnar Relay people are going to be freaking out about all of the snow up Avon Pass and Guardsman again come June because we get dumped on late in the year.

I'm going to enjoy the warm streak while it lasts!

What's the weather like where you are?  Running in snow?  On the beach?

There's no snow in Minnesota right now. It's so bizarre. We got a little bit of snow and ice earlier this week, but it's SOOOOO much less than last year!! It's CRAZY!! :) Although - I won't complain about warmer running conditions! Sounds kinda like Utah.

Seriously LOVING this weather. I so afraid of what will happen in feb-june but man I am embracing it while it lasts. Crazy to see all of that snow from last year. I will not complain one bit if the snow somehow "skips" (yeah right) utah this year. :)

Lack of snow in IL too! It is so bizarre! Although the high was only 20 today. That DOES feel like winter ;)

It has been weird here too, not that I'm complaining. I just don't want to get tons of snow later in the year. I live near Lake Ontario (literally right down the street from it) and we could get Lake Effect snow at anytime. Until then I'm enjoying this "warm" weather.

So, are you saying you wish you were running in freezing snow?! I'm just not sure about how sane you winter lovers are... :) (Though I do love your little man all cutely bundled up!!!)

I'm running on the beach and I love it. I have to wake up pretty early to run, so I can avoid overheating my little baby bump (about the size of your calf muscles... haha) or I'm stuck doing it in the gym because it gets so warm... but that's totally my style. I love it!

It has been a very strange winter here in Michigan. We just now have snow and its not going to stick around long as its going to warm up this week. Weird!

Wow! Isn't it so funny how what you are considering warm right now you'd be bundling up in the summer months.

It was fairly warm here today too. I'm totally digin' it.

That is nuts! What a difference.

The weather in Southern Utah has been SO perfect - 60's. In heaven, this is what the weather will be.

Unfortunately schedule has been crazy so I'm still doing my runs early in the morning when its cold and dark. I'm going stir crazy wanting to run in the warm sun.

it seems like the word is going all over the place with weather. It was SOOO warm here when you were saying it was freezing, now you're in capris and I'm staying inside or running in my tights! it's freezing!!!!

PS: it's good that you don't have "runner's calfs" they're gross!

Yes! It is weird how war it has been. Then, this morning, my forehead felt totally frozen, and I was like,"Ah! This is more like it!"
