Yes. I absolutely do.
So why do it?
CONFIDENCE.
Running is a funny thing. For me, I swear it is 10% physical and 90% mental- I've even been known to mentally give myself injuries because of nerves (or at least make them worse than they are). It's pretty pathetic, but it's also the truth.
When I feel better about myself, I walk taller, I smile bigger, and I run faster.
Months ago Ali did a giveaway and I was instantly pumped about it- the handful bra! I've mentioned before that I've gone running without my bran and only noticed because I didn't have a place to clip on my iPod. Heck! Boys in my neighborhood used to repeat this rhyme to me:
Roses are red,
Violets are black,
Why is your chest
As flat as your back?
Not much has changed since high school- in the "busty" way, anyway. 2 kids later and I feel like I could qualify for reconstructive surgery.
I digress...
Why, hello there terrible form! |
I've been wearing my bra since January and I have never had a problem with it. It fits so well, I've never had problems with chafing (which has been a big problem for me in the past!), and I would feel comfortable wearing it all the time- not just for working out. I can honestly say that I will never buy a different brand of sports bra.
It is by far the best sports bra I have ever owned, and I am stoked to be able to give one of these awesome bras away to one of you!

Confession: I have gone out without a bra on and not noticed for hours (but I think I've already used that one.)

Confession: I keep a secret jar of raspberry freezer jam my sister made in the freezer. I don't share it or use it to make my kids peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It is all mine!

Their website says their bras are for the smaller chested fitness enthusiast. I'm a D cup, so would it not work well for me? I'm desperate to find a good workout bra.

I'm I that Nicki who openly mocked you? I only vaguely remember it, but it totally sounds like something I'd do.
Oh Ames. This is my chance to pick up my pace! I need a handful bra. It's my answer. I confess that I've totally gone.. You ready, 4-wheeling without a bra and didn't bother me much. Yikes. I think I qualify as well.
Yo yo. Follow this business.
Confession - I secretly love that I am fitter than my twin sister, who is skinnier, but skinny doesn't always equal fit! :)

I like them on FB a while ago, after that neat video you posted.
I am now, officially, following your blog (it's been a link on the sidebar of my blog for a while now, cause I love it!).
Confession: I have reinvented my relationship with exercise, fitness and, primarily running. After my divorce I fell (face first) into a vicious cycle of disordered eating and compulsive exercise. The first few marathons I trained for I did in a very unhealthy way. Running was a punishment for eating. . .which was all an odd psychological ploy to feel in control of my life. I staged my own intervention almost two years ago now. I got help and, over time, was able to readopt my former approach to running (having run competitively since I was 8!). It was not easy. But, I am so grateful I had the courage to press pause, rewind and start over - in a sense. I consider myself 1.5 years recovered and 100,000,000% healthier and happier (and 1000% remarried! I have the most wonderful and supportive man in the history of the planet, I am VERY VERY lucky!)! It is not uncommon for me, on my long runs, to tear up thinking about how FREAKING happy I am, how much I love my sport & how full it makes my life.
Alas, I still have no boobs and - as per my above confession (sorry if it was too heavy!) - I could definitely love added confidence and a dash of femininity out on my long runs. But, I'm okay with just buying one (I have definitely considered it).
My confession...I could eat Movie Theater Butter flavored popcorn for every meal. It is my downfall.
Also..I follow your blog! :)
Confession: I have forgot a bra after a morning swim and braved it at worked without one!... (although my jacket did stay on all day!)

I follow your blog! I found you from HRG and began following when I saw you were running the same first marathon as me (TOU) and having hip/pelvic/IT/entire left side :) issues too. Also, it seems you know my visiting teacher, Shelly Altom? Maybe? Saw you on her fb. Hoping to win this giveaway! I need it!

Confession: Sometimes when I am proud of myself for not doing something, I reward myself be doing it. (Example: I was really proud of myself for not buying a super cute dress that I wanted. So proud, I decided I deserved a reward, so I drove back to the mall and bought it.) I can rationalize anything!
I'm with Amber up there, I'm desperate for a good workout bra, hoping this bra would work for bustier people too :)
I have been quite guilty of putting make up on before a race as well. I know it's going to sweat off but I like a little color on my face - especially for those super early races and my face is slow pale and puffy that early. Ugh. Photo ops people! :)
I follow you!
